By visiting or using the website located at masonrysanmateo.com, or by engaging Custom San Mateo Masonry and Concrete to perform services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or engage our services.
These Terms apply to all website visitors and to all customers who request or receive services from Custom San Mateo Masonry and Concrete. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site or our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Custom San Mateo Masonry and Concrete is a masonry and concrete contractor based in San Mateo, CA. We provide services including but not limited to foundation repair, chimney repair, tuckpointing, brick repair, retaining wall construction, masonry restoration, fireplace installation, stone veneer installation, concrete block walls, driveway pavers, walkway construction, and related work.
All services are subject to a written estimate and a signed agreement before work begins. We reserve the right to decline any project at our discretion.
We provide free on-site estimates for most projects. An estimate is a good-faith projection of cost based on a visual inspection and the information available at the time. It is not a guaranteed final price.
If conditions are discovered during the course of work that materially differ from what was observed during the estimate (for example, hidden damage, unexpected structural conditions, or subsurface issues), we will notify you before proceeding with any work beyond the original scope. You will have the opportunity to approve or decline any change in scope and cost before additional work is performed.
All prices are in United States dollars. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise noted.
We schedule work by mutual agreement with the customer. We will make reasonable efforts to adhere to the agreed schedule, but dates may shift due to weather, permit delays, material availability, or other factors outside our control. We will notify you as early as possible of any changes to a scheduled start date.
If you need to cancel or postpone a scheduled project, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may result in a fee to cover costs already incurred (such as material orders or subcontractor scheduling), as specified in your written agreement.
We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel work if site conditions, safety concerns, or other factors make it impractical to proceed as planned. In that case, no cancellation fee will be charged to you.
Payment terms are outlined in the written agreement for each project. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the following general terms apply:
We accept payment methods as specified at the time of the project. Late payments may be subject to a late fee as described in your written agreement.
If payment is not received within the time specified in the agreement, we reserve the right to suspend or cease further work on the project until payment is received.
We stand behind the quality of our work. Any warranty terms applicable to a specific project will be stated in the written agreement for that project. Where no specific warranty is stated, we warrant that our work will be performed in a workmanlike manner using materials appropriate for the job.
Warranties do not cover damage caused by events outside our control, including but not limited to earthquakes, flooding, extreme weather, soil movement, or damage caused by other contractors working on the property after our work is completed.

We make no representations that the website content is applicable to every property or situation. Always consult a licensed professional for site-specific guidance.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Custom San Mateo Masonry and Concrete shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our website or from services performed, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of profits, or property damage beyond the scope of work contracted.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific work giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so the above may not apply to you in full.
You agree to:
Where a project requires a building permit, we will obtain the permit on your behalf as part of the work agreement. Permit fees will be included in or added to the project estimate. We will coordinate required inspections. Work that does not require a permit will be performed to applicable industry standards. You are responsible for notifying us of any deed restrictions, easements, or CC&Rs that could affect the work.
If a dispute arises between you and Custom San Mateo Masonry and Concrete regarding services performed or any amount owed, we ask that you contact us first to resolve it informally. Most concerns can be addressed directly by reaching out to us at hello@masonrysanmateo.com or (650) 865-1809.
If informal resolution is not possible, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in San Mateo, CA, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, unless both parties agree in writing to another method. Each party will bear its own costs for arbitration unless the arbitrator orders otherwise.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action not subject to arbitration shall be brought in the appropriate courts of California.
